Resolution Regarding Guided Tours of Robert Lee Blaffer Properties

Official Notice

The Robert Lee Blaffer Foundation has adopted the following Resolution concerning guided tours of the Robert Lee Blaffer properties within the Jane Blaffer Owen Sanctuaries.

The Foundation remains committed to preserving these special places as spaces for respite, reflection, spirituality, history, and community while ensuring a consistent experience for all visitors. The sanctuaries continue to be open to the public free of charge for individual visitation.

The following Resolution was adopted by the Robert Lee Blaffer Foundation on November 7, 2025.

EXHIBIT A

RESOLUTION CONCERNING GUIDED TOURS OF ROBERT LEE BLAFFER PROPERTIES

Recitals

WHEREAS, the Robert Lee Blaffer Foundation, Inc. (the “Foundation”) does not currently have in place a formal policy regarding guided tours of the Robert Lee Blaffer properties (the “Blaffer Properties”); and

WHEREAS, there has been a recent increase in paid guided tours and/or advertisements for such paid tours; and

WHEREAS, in order to protect the sanctity of the Blaffer Properties, and to maintain the desired access and experience for guests and visitors, the Foundation has enacted the following written formal policy regarding any such tours;

Resolution

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Foundation has adopted the following policy with regard to guided tours of the Blaffer Properties:

“The Robert Lee Blaffer properties within the Jane Blaffer Owen Sanctuary are maintained as places of respite, reflection, spirituality, history, and community, and are therefore open to the public free of charge. To protect this mission and ensure a consistent visitor experience, no individual or group, other than USI Historic New Harmony, may charge admission, collect fees, or advertise guided tours on these properties without the Foundation’s prior written consent. USI Historic New Harmony is acknowledged as the sole and exclusive authorized provider of such tours of the Blaffer Foundation properties, and any unauthorized commercial use by other parties or groups will be considered a violation of the Foundation’s policies and may result in denial of future access.”

Are the sanctuaries still open to the public?
Yes. The Jane Blaffer Owen Sanctuaries remain open to the public and admission is free for individual visitors during normal visiting hours.
