The Poet’s House is located at the corner of Granary and West Streets in historic New Harmony, Indiana, across from the beautifully-restored Rapp-Owen Granary. Formerly known as the Franck House (1822), it’s an original framed Harmonist house still located on its original foundation. The structure was converted to a guesthouse to accommodate Jane Blaffer Owen’s many creative visitors, primarily writers and poets in residence. Artist John Hubbard stayed and worked at the Poet’s House in 1988, as Jane Owen’s guest, producing etchings.
