The Barrett-Gate House is located at the corner of Main and North Streets in historic New Harmony, Indiana. It’s adjacent to The Red Geranium Restaurant entrance, across from the Roofless Church. It consists of two relocated and conjoined structures. The log portion of the guest house is part of an original Harmonist log cabin built in the early 1800s. The framed section was added when the house was moved to its current location. The Barrett-Gate House has lodged many artists through the Robert Lee Blaffer Foundation’s creative partnerships. Guests are encouraged to enjoy and respect the unique nature of this historic structure and its surroundings.
